By tech blogger in Uncategorized

Since the days of 1980s when the world’s first computer virus infected the machines it ahs become a nigh mare to a regular user. Everyday our PCs are bombarded with unlimited amount of malicious software, email spasm, viruses and other spyware etc. To avoid all the major data lose and the peaceful mind for a peaceful user companies like Norton, McAfee etc are creating softwares for the past many years. Some accuse them of robbing the pockets of the normal person through these highly expensive softwares and some were cynical enough to even accuse of them of making all these viruses by themselves to make money ultimately.

Well in the past few years one company is making its mark on the scene of the Anti-Virus industry is Kaspersky Labs. It is very strange for a normal PC user to understand that a Anti-Virus company from Russia, a country notorious for online hackers and CIH virus can successfully topples the monopoly of Norton and McAfee. But it is a fact that Kaspersky has done that, it has win awards in various forums and reviews since its introduction in the late 2000.

The Anti-Virus major achievements that has won them much acclaim around the world includes best detector of anti-viruses in a PC, most updated set of virus definitions, most effective in finding and deleting the malware or virus in a PC etc.Kaspersky

The major features that made all that possible is the clean and precise interface of the anti-virus. Kaspersky most recent version i.e. 7 carries a clean one page format that provides options in clear tags such as Protection, Scans, Update and Settings. This simple and easy to use format is user friendly and light to a PC memory.

Apart from that the software includes (under the Kaspersky Internet Security brand) apart from anti-virus protection; protection from malware, Spyware, new and upcoming threats, a continuous protection (file protection) while scrolling through your PC which catches all the viruses in a minute while you are in the folder. Other major options include parental control, firewall and mail scanner etc.

All in all it’s a complete package for a normal PC user because of two major advantages that the Kaspersky Labs provide: 1) Its really cheap compare to the other major softwares like Norton and McAfee and 2) because it is very light and does not ea your RAM memory like the comparative brands with full level of security. Procssor Wars: AMD Phenom

Posted on March 17, 2008
By tech blogger in Uncategorized

In the whole of the year 2006 and the beginning of 2007 AMD was in the lead in the processor wars but suddenly Intel takes the lead with its Core 2 Duo processor that were much more faster, efficient and attractive than the single core Athlon 64-bit by AMD. It was surely a no match even with the superior 64-bit technology mastered by AMD.

Unlike Intel AMD ahs built the whole series of Phenom 9000 on a true quad core architecture whereas as its major rival Intel only comes up with a hybrid engine of the 2 core 2 duos to make it four. Also as claimed by AMD there processors are true 64-bit processor that provides much more better results and visuals than an extended version of 32-bit technology.

AMD Phenom As shown in the image (courtesy AMD) the Phenom is Hybrid of four parallel process with their respective L2 cache equals 512 MB whereas they all are merged into a single joint 2 MB L3 cache that literally provides unlimited memory for the processors to work as efficiently as they can. It is also equipped with the Hyper Transparent technology a proprietary of AMD that provides up to 8 GB of input/output from the processor to the memory.

Along with that the AMD Phenom provides with the whole package the CoolnQuiet technology that not only reduces noise but also adjust the reduction levels according to the current temperature and condition of the processor. It also preserves the energy by switching off the parts in the system that are not utilized by the processor at certain time termed as CoolCore.

Apart from all that AMD claims that their users can truly enjoy the 64-bit version of Windows Vista with the true 64-bit technology and a ground breaking unlimited memory that it provides.
